Introduction

This web site is a discussion of using tablets in intermediate and secondary level classrooms.  According to Dictionary.com, a tablet is "a wireless personal computer in the form of a notebook and that allows a user to hand-write notes with a stylus or digital pen on a touch screen." There are currently more than 8 brands of tablets on the market today, and this website does not necessarily intend to suggest which one is the best.  By clicking on the tabs above, you will be able to join our discussion about current use, the feasibility, some suggested uses and some of the negative impacts of using tablets in general, in the classroom.  Feel free to add comments to our blog and share your lesson ideas or just your thoughts of how you think the use of tablets will work or is working in your classroom.
